Abstract:
The talk will introduce the basic tenents of Web services
implementation in the J2EE environment per the emerging JSR-109 specification.
Special emphasis will be placed on understanding the anatomy of the JAX-RPC
specification and how it is being implemented in the Apache Axis SOAP implementation.
The talk will discuss both the good the bad and the ugly of what parts
of this specification can actually be done today and where to expect things
to go from here. Sample code will be included.

Snell is a member of IBM's Emerging Technologies team focusing on the
implementation of Web services technologies. He's the co-author of
O'Reilly's Programming Web Services With SOAP and has published
a number of Web service focused articles at IBM's developerWorks site.
